Paul Webb (pictured above) will be competing in the 2009 rallye riding a KTM 525 rallye bike specially builtfor this event by Patsy Quick. His goal is to reach Dakar and in doing so experience the intensity of this adventure.

Patsy Quick’s ‘Desert Rose Racing’ will be supporting Paul throughout the rallye with experienced rallye mechanics to assist in servicing & repairing his bike.

6,500 kilometers starting at the Eiffel Tower in Paris, down through France, continuing through Spain followed by a boat crossing to Morocco where competitors cross over the Atlas Mountains and Sahara desert into Mauritania. Here difficult conditions over long expanses of soft sand need to be ridden before crossing into Senegal and finally arrive at Dakar’s famous Lac Rose.
